Well hello my lovelies !
I wanted to share with you an exclusive interview with the co-owner of Baby Spa birth. Anita Yap is a very close friend of mine and my soul sister who lives on the other side of Australia in beautiful Perth.
I met the owners who are two sisters when I was 15 years old and I am so proud of both of their achievements. Anita is raising the most gorgeous little boy as well as running a successful company with her sister Kavita (also a gorgeous mamma of one cutie pie with another on the way) who lives in Singapore. Baby Spa Perth launched last year in the same week Anita's son was born (via c section) and he attended his first session at 4 days old. (Hat's off to this mamma who was doing interviews and running the show right after having a baby!).
Baby Spa Perth has absolutely taken over the Internet and has been featured on The Ellen Show, Marie Clare, Cosmopolitan, Nine, The Huffington Post, Grazia, Today Tonight, The New York Times and that's just to name a few. They specialise in baby massage, support and hydrotherapy for newborns through to 6 months of age. Not only is the experience soothing and calming for bubs but it has many health benefits such as promoting relaxation, supports the improvement of sleep patterns leading to improved attention, stimulates working memory and emotional regulation. Seriously my ovaries are wanting another baby just looking through Baby Spa's Instagram pics of newborns bopping about in their own little spa. You can read more about the benefits here and don't forget to follow them on social media.
From working mamma to mamma, I wanted to share her experience on becoming a mum as well as running a company in the hope to inspire other women to follow their dreams. Just because you have a baby it doesn't mean that's the only job you can do for the rest of your life.
See below for Anita's interview questions.
G: What do you love most about baby spa?
It's a hard question to answer as I love the benefits Baby Spa has to offer for infants and parents as we promote infant development by strengthening the bond between parents and their baby. I also love the pure bliss of watching the baby’s float and relax during the massage.
G:What advice do you have for working Mamma's or Mamma's considering going back to work?
To be honest it can be very hard at the best of times to juggle between work and bring up a little one. It is very challenging but also rewarding for me do what I am passionate about and to not lose touch with what I love doing and when your infant is grown up it will be a great memory for you to share with them. The trick is to get the right balance and not to take on too much.
G:As a first time Mamma, can you suggest some helpful parenting advice or a tip you wish someone told you?
It's ok.. we are all just learning. It's ok to make mistakes! as I have made plenty but it is important to learn from your mistakes
G:A positive motto you live by?
To be honest when I was pregnant my body released the most powerful endorphins and I suppose when you become a mother your most connected to humanity and I live each day by showing lots of love and being kind hearted.
G:Best thing about being a Mamma?
One of the best thing about being a mamma for me is waking up to my beautiful boy, just the pure joy of watching him develop, grow, learn and laugh will have to be one of the greatest things in my life.
